Pakistan’s Top Shiite Cleric Hails Iran’s Islamic Revolution as Beacon of Unity and Awakening

The head of Pakistan’s Shiite Ulema Council has described Iran’s Islamic Revolution as a powerful source of inspiration for unity within the Muslim Ummah and for the awakening of the Islamic world.

Hawzah News Agency- In a message marking the 47th anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Hojatoleslam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said the revolution represents an “inspirational movement for the Islamic world and all humanity,” underscoring its pivotal role in raising awareness among Muslim nations.

He noted that the Islamic Revolution was achieved through a broad-based popular uprising under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA), and that it continues its path today with strength and authority under the guidance of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Naqvi stressed that the revolution not only revived Islamic culture and civilization, but also exposed the malicious objectives of colonial and hegemonic powers, fostering a spirit of resistance, self-confidence, and independence among nations.

He added that the ideals and objectives upon which the Islamic Revolution was founded possess the capacity to unite the entire Muslim Ummah around common goals. According to Naqvi, the central lesson of the revolution lies in the supremacy of Quranic teachings, the implementation of Islamic law, the rejection of division, and the promotion of unity among Muslims. He emphasized that strengthening cohesion and confronting divisive forces is a shared responsibility.

Referring to the revolution’s role in the awakening of nations, the Pakistani cleric said Iran’s Islamic Revolution has played a key role in promoting Islamic civilization and in alerting Muslims to colonial conspiracies. He said the movement has now entered a decisive phase that has alarmed global hegemonic powers and pushed them toward new plots, but added that the revolution will ultimately prevail due to its conscious, principled, and deeply rooted nature.

Naqvi further said Imam Khomeini drew inspiration from the pure teachings of Islam and the luminous path of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at every stage of the revolution, laying firm foundations for its endurance. Despite sustained pressure, sanctions, and hostile plots, he said, the Islamic Revolution—under the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei—has remained a symbol of courage, resistance, and independence in the contemporary world.

He concluded by warning that as hegemonic powers intensify their aggressive actions against the Muslim Ummah, Muslims must set aside sectarian and group differences and unite around lofty Islamic goals if they seek dignity and honor. He called for strengthening the spirit of resistance, insight, and steadfastness across the Islamic world.
